EXCHANGE AND REFUNDS

All sales processed through The Little Pin are final at the time of checkout and order confirmation. For hygiene and safety purposes, exchanges and refunds will not be made available for change of mind reasons.

However, exchange or refund will be made available should you receive a product considered to have a ‘major problem’, therefore rendering it faulty and/or defective.

Under Australian Consumer Law, ‘major problems include:

  • The pin having a problem that would have stopped you from buying it if you had prior knowledge.
  • The pin having multiple minor problems that, when taken as a whole, would have stopped you from buying it if you had prior knowledge.
  • The pin is significantly different from the sample or description. This does not include colour discrepancies. Please see the ‘Online Display of Products and Product Expectations’ section below for further information.
  • The pin is substantially unfit for its common purpose and cannot easily be fixed within a reasonable time.
  • The pin does not do what you asked for and cannot easily be fixed within a reasonable time.
  • The pin is unsafe for use and poses a serious risk to the health and safety of the user.

Should you receive a faulty or defective product, please contact The Little Pin immediately via our ‘Contact us’ page. Please provide your order number, a photo of the fault/defect, and your reason for return. The Little Pin is entitled to refuse an exchange or refund if we believe that the fault/defect presented does not fit within the above criteria.

ONLINE DISPLAY OF PRODUCTS AND PRODUCT EXPECTATIONS

The Little Pin undertakes all reasonable measures to ensure the accurate display of our products. This includes, but is not limited to colour pigmentation and structural make through the use of high-quality photographs and detailed product descriptions.

  • Colours may appear slightly different in reality due to lighting or variance in display screen calibration.

  • Acceptance of your order is subject to The Little Pin confirming the availability and price of the products which you have requested from us.
  • We do not hold any liability for the cancellation of your order. Your order may be canceled if the products you have requested are unavailable, if there were errors in pricing or product description, or if technical errors occurred during the processing of your order.

CARE GUIDE

The Little Pin product pieces are considered costume jewellery and will experience eventual oxidation and tarnish due to several external factors, such as contact with moisture, air, and chemicals. Oxidation is inevitable over time and is considered a naturally occurring process that cannot be considered a fault.

Please take the time to read our care instructions below to prolong the lifespan of your pin:

  • Avoid contact with perfumes, oils, lotions, cosmetics, deodorants, hairspray, and chemicals.
  • Make sure to store your pin in a cool space, away from direct sunlight and heat.
  • Keep away from water and moisture. This means removing your pin before showering, swimming, and sleeping.
  • DO NOT use jewellery cleaner to clean your pin.
  • After each use, gently but thoroughly wipe your pin with a soft, dry, and clean cloth.
  • Each pin is handmade to order so please be gentle when handling. Placing the pin in reach of an infant will be done at your own discretion. The Little Pin will not be held liable for damage as a result of poor personal use.

Discontinue wearing your pin immediately should you experience any allergic symptoms and consult a physician or other medical professional as soon as possible. The Little Pin will not be held liable for any allergic reactions experienced and will not be able to offer any refunds or exchanges in this circumstance.
